Audit and Tax Practice looking for Tax Senior to be responsible for tax clients - this role presents with excellent opportunity to grow from both practice management and tax technical perspectives.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Managing the delivery of clients’ corporate tax returns, tax compliance and relevant tax deadlines for corporate and individual clients.
2. Assist clients in resolution of tax issues with the Tax Authority.
3. Supervise and train team of tax professionals on preparation of corporate Income Tax, GST Returns filings, Tax lodgement and monthly payroll processing for clients for supervisor role.
4. Managing and building client relationships and networks.
5. Coaching and mentoring junior staff on tax capabilities.
6. Working with business partners to identify business development opportunities.
7. Point of contact on all tax issues / tax queries for corporation and personal tax, GST Returns filing, Employment taxes, withholding tax (including filing IR21, Section 45 etc), filing with IRAS. Ensure proper reporting, compliance and documentation.
8. Manage tax provision financial statements.
9. Engage in Tax advisory work, tax investigation, compliance review, GST (etc implementation of GST, ASK, ACAP, Advisory) and other ad-hoc projects where required.
10. Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations.
11. Discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management
12. Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices on tax compliance matters.
Requirements:
1. Possess a university bachelor’s degree or Diploma or relevant professional qualification in accounting
2. Member of Singapore’s Tax Accreditation Body and knowledge of Singapore Income Tax Laws will be an added advantage.
3. 3 – 5 years in Tax Compliance supervisory role .
4. Able to work independently as well as lead a team of Tax professionals.
5. Ability to communicate with people at various levels.
