Job Description

  • Regional leadership for company income tax, transaction tax, corporate legal structure, acquisitions   and   divestitures,   transfer   pricing   and intercompany  transactions  and  other  tax  areas.  
  • Lead tax planning strategies in business transactions, cross-border tax issues (e.g. profit repatriation strategies, withholding taxes, transfer pricing) and new business initiatives like investment expansion and M&A etc.)
  • Manage tax audit and controversy matters in the region, group representation in audits, litigation and negotiation with government authorities relating to tax matters.
  • Partner with the local accounting team to ensure compliance with local regulations and statutory audit requirements including corporate tax and deferred tax provisions 
  • Provides leadership and mentoring in a tax specialty
  • Lead projects to improve the tax reporting and compliance processes

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or University Degree or equivalent.
  • Masters Degree in Taxation an advantage.
  • 10 - 15 years of relevant experience. Big 4 Accounting Firm and MNC tax background preferred.
  • Excellent direct and indirect tax technical knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Must have leadership skills with the ability to manage people across functions and cultures and from all levels within the organization
